The Lazy Eyes are heading back on the road this spring with their biggest Australian headline tour to date, announcing a sprawling September-October run in support of forthcoming second album Cheesy Love Songs, due August 21.
The tour feels significant not simply because of its scale, stretching beyond capital cities into regional Australia, but because it arrives attached to a band actively trying to rediscover itself. After the breakout psych-rock chaos of their debut era and international support runs alongside Djo, Wet Leg and The Strokes, The Lazy Eyes now seem less interested in expanding outward than stripping things back to the emotional core of what made them compelling in the first place.
The Lazy Eyes have steadily built a reputation as one of Australia’s most immersive young guitar bands, capable of turning venues into swirling sensory environments where psych-rock looseness collides with tightly controlled melodic hooks.
