On 19th and 20th October the sounds of 12 artists from some of the hottest corners of Asia will be heard at a mega block party in the heart of the SXSW Sydney® 2023 precinct.
The showcase will feature artists handpicked and presented by China’s well known festival – Concrete & Grass – and Asia’s biggest label group, YEG Music.
Artists headlining the two-day affair include award-winning Indonesian multi-instrumentalist and composer, Isyana Sarasvati, Jakarta’s power–pop trio GAC, fellow Jakarta indie mega star Hindia, and poetic songwriting icon, Nadin Amizah. The complete line-up brings together a diverse group of talent from Asia to the Middle East, a true smorgasbord of genres ranging from operatic metal to Indonesian folk to Korean R&B, each band a true star in their own country, and now ready to take over the world.
Select artists from Touchdown Under will also speak at various points across the SXSW Sydney® conference, in addition to performing at various other shows across the festival and Australia. Each artist will also share their experiences through their favoured channels: vlogs, Instagram Stories and Tiktok.
