News: Tropical F*ck Storm Announce Full Australian Tour for Fairyland Codex

After an extensive run through Europe, Canada, and the U.S., Tropical F*ck Storm return to Australian stages this spring, bringing Fairyland Codex—their fourth full-length and most expansive album yet—back to where it was forged. The tour, spanning regional and metro dates, follows a string of critically noted international appearances and finds the band in commanding live form.

Buy/stream Fairyland Codex HERE.

With the Sydney leg now sold out, a second date has been added due to demand. Brisbane and Melbourne dates were previously teased and are now confirmed. TFS will join the lineup for 4ZZZ’s 50th birthday bash in Brisbane on Saturday, October 25, alongside Regurgitator, Full Moon Flower Band, Big Noter, Butterfingers, and Screamfeeder. One week later, they’ll feature at The Croxton’s Block Party in Melbourne on Saturday, November 1, joined by Cash Savage & The Last Drinks, Party Dozen, Grace Cummings, Exek, NPCede, and Loose Lips.

Support acts for the full tour are hand-picked from within the TFS orbit. Melbourne’s noir-pop outfit Lost Animal, fronted by Jarrod Quarrell, will appear in Torquay, Castlemaine, and Archies Creek. Elsewhere, long-time collaborator Michael Beach brings his raw and affecting live show to Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, and Newcastle, performing material from his new album Big Black Plume—which features members of TFS, The Necks, and Dirty Three.

Tropical Fuck Storm—founded by Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin of The Drones, and joined by Lauren Hammel (High Tension) and Erica Dunn (Mod Con, Harmony)—continue to evolve their noisy, restless blend of art-punk and experimental rock. Fairyland Codex captures the band at their most textural and disoriented, a fitting soundtrack for the chaos they thrive in.

Head HERE for tickets to the tour.
