Electronic music legends Underworld are heading back Down Under in 2027, bringing their genre-defining sound to Australia and New Zealand for a run of headline shows and festival appearances.
And there’s a bonus for fans. Each headline show will feature two Underworld sets, giving audiences a double dose of the duo’s hypnotic beats, euphoric electronics and relentless dancefloor energy.
Fresh from premiering their new work Crazy, Crazy in New York last month, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith are returning to the region for three exclusive headline performances, kicking off at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on 2 March before hitting Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on 3 March and Melbourne’s PICA on 6 March.
Few electronic acts have left a mark quite like Underworld. From the groundbreaking Dubnobasswithmyheadman to the era-defining Born Slippy .NUXX, the British duo helped drag underground dance music into the mainstream without sacrificing their experimental edge.
The tour also takes in Christchurch’s Electric Avenue, WOMADelaide and Golden Plains, putting Underworld in front of festival crowds across both countries.
More than three decades into their career, Underworld remain one of electronic music’s most influential live acts. Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion is about to become one enormous dancefloor.
