Yard Act have announced an Australian tour that will commence on 12 November 2024 at The Factory Theatre in Sydney, followed by performances in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.

In March of this year, Yard Act released their second album, ‘Where’s My Utopia,’ via Island Records. This album was composed in brief intervals amidst a demanding touring schedule and was co-produced by the band and Remi Kabaka Jr. of Gorillaz.

The band’s breakthrough 2022 debut album, The Overload, propelled the Leeds quartet to stardom, garnering a Mercury Prize nomination, a #2 debut on the British charts, and accolades from notable figures such as Hayley Williams, Fugazi, and Beck. Even Elton John endorsed the band, collaborating on a string-laden reimagining of the album’s closing track, ‘100% Endurance.’

Yard Act are a dynamic post-punk quartet comprising James Smith on vocals, Ryan Needham on bass, Sam Shipstone on guitar, and Jay Russell on drums. Formed in 2019, the band quickly established a reputation for their sharp, satirical lyrics and energetic performances. Influenced by a range of artists from The Fall to Talking Heads, Yard Act’s sound is a compelling blend of post-punk, indie rock, and sharp social critique.

Ticket pre-sale begins Wednesday July 3 at 10am local.
General on-sale starts on Thursday July 4 at 10am local.
