A quick recap in case you didn’t see us premiere the title track back in September: the Vancouver quintet have been sitting on this for a little bit. They released their debut album Too Much in 2019 and were unable to tour on it for it for obvious reasons, so they kept their heads down and started work on the follow-up, staying isolated by necessity and writing independently.
Their work was refined, rearranged and chopped up before they found themselves with enough to work with, and the result is a beguiling 10-track offering that recalls the likes of Blonde Redhead, Japanese Breakfast and Caroline Polachek‘s solo work. ‘Baby Anymore’ and ‘Pool’ followed as singles, and the whole thing’s out tomorrow on Kingfisher Bluez – we’ve got an exclusive early listen below.
