Premiere: Espuma Share New Single “People With No Energy” – A Swirling, Psychedelic Journey

London-based six-piece Espuma are back with People With No Energy, a mesmerizing new single lifted from their upcoming EP Magic Valley, due later this year. Set for release on March 14th, 2025, the track bubbles with a winding psychedelic broth, full of sprawling percussion, stabbing keys, and airy guitar lines that shimmer with an almost hypnotic pull.

From the very first moments, People With No Energy wraps itself around the listener, with strong, gliding vocals drifting over Latin groove rhythms and whammy-soaked guitars. The harmonies feel smothered in a way that gives the track a loose, baggy attitude, but it’s the melodies that keep dragging you back, weaving in and out of the kaleidoscopic instrumentation. There’s an effortless push and pull to Espuma’s sound—one that feels at home in the vibrant psychedelic underground of London, yet carries a freshness that sets them apart.

Formed just over a year ago, Espuma bring together influences from England, Bulgaria, and Germany, drawing from the same musical well as Rossana and Karma Sheen, two bands they frequently orbit in London’s buzzing psych scene. Already making a name for themselves with electrifying performances at venues like The Garage, Paper Dress Vintage, Two Palms, and Sebright Arms, the band are proving that their sound is as potent live as it is on record.

With Magic Valley on the horizon, People With No Energy offers a glimpse into the world Espuma are crafting—one filled with vibrant textures, hazy grooves, and undeniable energy. If this single is anything to go by, their next chapter is set to be an unmissable trip.

Listen to “People With No Energy” ahead of its March 14th release.
