Psych Insight: Track: Anti Pony – I Go Places/ Cry on the Floor

The excellent PNKSLM label seem to be on a bit of a roll at the moment. Fresh from a great showcase at this year’s Liverpool PsychFest, the label have recently released a slew of great singles from Sudakistan and Lucern Raze, and now comes a great bit of psychedelic pop from Stockholm’s Anti Pony in the shape of another 7″ ‘I Go Places’ c/w ‘Cry on the Floor’.

Sitting nicely between huge fuzz behemoths on the one side and the experimental works of psych electronica on the other the Swedish’s duo (Sanna Colling and Alexander Pierre) have found a sound that is clean without being banal, and distinct without being inaccessible. It is unashamedly a pop record with a great tune, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

The single is released on PNKSLM in early December, with a pre-order limited to 100 copies available from the label’s website.
