See: Robby Krieger releases new video for Hot Head

Legendary guitarist Robby Krieger of iconic rock band, The Doors, is releasing his first solo album in 10 years on the 14th August 2020.  ‘The Ritual Begins At Sundown’ is a ten track, all instrumental album. It’s set for release on The Player’s Club, part of the Mascot Label Group.
Ahead of the album release, Krieger has released a music video for the album track, ‘Hot Head’ on his YouTube channel.

The video itself, is a psychedelic patchwork of disembodied hands, floating eyes, mushrooms, flowers, peacocks, flying horses and Chinese dragons. It swirls and ripples in a colourful visual pageant, suiting perfectly the vibe of the track.

The tune itself is a jazz-orientated instrumental, with the distinctive playing of Krieger backed by brass, twinkling organ work and a jazz rhythm section. There’s elements of Early Santana, Frank Zappa,( Zappa musicians feature!) Blues Train-era John Coltrane and even the Alex Skolnick Trio.

Check out the video for ‘Hot Head’ on Robby Krieger’s YouTube Channel; Watch and listen to the very best in psychedelia and prepare for the new summer of love.
