In the Midst was one of our tracks of last year, and swedinsh singer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Joel Wästberg followed it with ‘Digging a Frame’ through City Slang, which aired more of his airey, funk-filled pop. Ahead of a run of UK dates, he’s now released a ‘live’ video for the track, which still sounds as great as it did a year ago, its fuzzy, rhodes heavy flamboyance given extra sparkle by Wästberg’s vocal.
Of the video, shot in a friend’s workshop in Gothenburg & filmed by Damien Priest, sir was says “We made a minimal, action, drama, live session film for “In The Midst’. Thanks to Agge, Nisse and Erik on the congas whom made time for this session between activities such as winning the Swedish veteran iceskating competition and playing drums with Little Dragon”
