Track: Amaunet – Pilot

Scandinavia’s position as a hotbed of cool indie rock continues apace with the release of the debut single from Sweden’s Amaunet. ‘Pilot’ has a fresh rawness and delivery: an anthemic quality with a rough and tender edge and a melodic spine.

There are no doubt echoes of Kings of Leon and bands from the Britpop era but there is also a distinctive originality that adds a lustre: vocals filled with strength and emotions, a surging guitar and a gorgeous cinematic chorus:

‘Pilot’ is out everywhere on July 24 and you can pre-order the single here. The single is taken from the band’s upcoming self-titled EP ‘, to be released digitally by Lövely Records on November 20.
