Track: Blood Command – Forever Soldiers Of Esther

David Alræk

Norways Blood Command have released a powerful new single titled ‘Forever Soldiers Of Esther’. The track is incredibly close to band member Yngve Andersen’s heart.  His family belonged to something that for outsiders, could remind them of a cult. Yngve and his siblings got to feel that judgement and negativity every day from other kids, teachers and parents due to it being a small village.

The lyrics in the verses are outtakes from what Ester told Yngve before going to school, to prepare him for what he would meet and to not listen to them, stay strong and never surrender. The chorus is what Yngve would wish he could say to her but never did. This paved the way for the powerful attitude and want for going against the grain attitude that today, is Blood Command.

Esther Andersen was named after the Jewish Queen, who in the bible risked her life to save the Jewish people from being exterminated with her braveness. A story that says “stay strong, be brave and don’t let the bastards get you.

The melodic wall of sound from the guitars sees the track burning bright filled with thunderous riffing driven by some heavy groove instilling drums. Singer Nikki Brumen rips up the track with a boiling vitriol filled spat giving a fiery vocal performance throughout.
