Indie-rock up-and-comers Caring Less unveil the new single ‘So Sick’.

Arriving as a preview of their upcoming sophomore EP, the Philadelphia-based trio capture an essence of 90s alternative-rock with a twang of Phoebe Bridgers moments of Avril Lavigne. ‘So Sick’ builds through its jangly strummed guitars, tight drums and under the emotive vocals of front woman Sara Johnson to a dynamic close as a well placed lead line overlaps the instantly repeatable and emotive vocal melody. Intimate, dreamy, raw, and beautifully constructed.

Speaking about the song’s creation, the band explains: “‘So Sick’ evolved from an improvised jam at band practice into a bouncy rock anthem that blends our 90’s alternative influences with raw lyrics that blur pain and desire over jangly guitars and a restless beat.”

Caring Less—made up of Sara Johnson on vocals, Ryan Acito on bass, and Nicholas Kreh on drums—have been steadily building a name for themselves across Philadelphia. Known for their energetic live shows and recent local radio exposure, they’ve cultivated a loyal following and a growing buzz around their work. With influences that span Alanis Morissette, Jeff Buckley, and other 90s icons, they manage to nod to the past while sounding undeniably current.
