Cyprus based Cynik Scald are a metal band that blur the lines between Metal/Melodic Metal/PowerMetal/Metalcore. Their debut album ‘Aged Spirit’ was released at the end of 2019. The band have shared the latest track to be taken from the album – ‘City Nemesis’.
A groovy intro riff becomes the backbone of the track joined with some evil sounding guttural vocals. Vocals that clean up for the chorus where the song takes on an almost power metal theme with melodic sweeping synths that really power the track along. The second verse is when the track really gets into its stride, as the groove takes over and you can’t help being affected by it. This maybe one of the best metal bands you may have overlooked.
