Naarm/Melbourne-based pop princess Stilla has unveiled her first release of 2024, ‘UNDER THE WEATHER’ – co-produced with Nathan Zammit.
‘UNDER THE WEATHER’ unfolds with soaring melodies and poignant lyricism, capturing the essence of heartbreak and resilience. Stilla’s lush vocals bring a raw authenticity to the track, making it both relatable and cathartic while maintaining a seemingly light atmosphere. The song intertwines emotional depth with an airy, infectious energy, creating a soundscape that resonates deeply while uplifting the spirit.
Stilla shares that she,
“Really wanted to capture that moment where you quit putting up with someone’s BS, and start focusing on you and your happiness and freedom to be your best self.”
Stilla adds,
“Once production was finished we handed all the stems over to Hayden Lauerson (Tentendo, Sophiya, Boy Soda) who totally nailed the mix, and made me feel like such a pop princess with this track. He took it to another level. I’m really very proud of how it’s turned out and am excited for it to be out in the world.”
Since Stilla’s debut release in 2021, she has played an array of key showcases including Sofar Sounds and Breaking Sounds – and continues to build her momentum with ALONG THE IVY Showcase in July 2024, playing alongside Jarrod Jeremiah, REX and YNG One.
