Ahead of the release of their latest album ‘Styles We Paid For’, Guided By Voices have released their latest single. Crash At Lake Placebo. Despite the lockdown restrictions, GBV found a way, the members recording in five different states to bring together the bands third album of 2020.
Crash At Lake Placebo is the sort of song that grabs you and doesn’t let go, the melodies are sharp, cool and stick in your mind, as the band take there seats somewhere between R.E.M. and Pavement, the riffs pouring over the track, which just has this little whiff of 70’s The Who about it.
In other words, its absolutely great.
