Track: Jaws The Shark – Didn’t Even Know What I Was Looking For

Rob Crawford

Jaws The Shark has released his self-titled EP, via So Recordings. To coincide with the release of his EP Jaws The Shark has also released his new single ‘Didn’t Even Know What I Was Looking For’.

Detailing newest single ‘Didn’t Even Know What I Was Looking For’ Jaws The Shark comments:

“This track started off really lo-fi and fuzzed out, but I knew that beneath its scuzzy exterior, there was a genuine, proper love song. Up until this point, I’d always been a bit hesitant to speak from the heart and wear it on my sleeve in a lyrical sense, but I think from the get go it’s quite obvious that this was written and sung about somebody that means a whole lot to me. I like writing slower and more tuneful songs, it’s a slight departure in sound from what people may have come to expect from me based on previous releases, but I want people to also see another side to my songwriting”.

The track picks you up from the opening line and sweeps you along with its catchy britpop stylings and the solid drumming that drives everything forward. A joyous 3 minutes full of hope that’s wrapped up in the soaring vocals and rhythmic guitar playing.
