Jess and The Ancient Ones have shared the second single ‘Love Zombi’, to be taken from their forthcoming new album Vertigo! via Svart records
Main-man songwriter/guitarist Thomas Corpse describes it perfectly when he says:
“In this track one can maybe hear eerie echoes of funk lurking in the root. The feel of the middle part leans towards European old school horror movies”. “Love Zombi” is Jess and The Ancient Ones back to their creepy, catchy rocking best, live-wired and undead!
Smouldering funk that rises with gentle notes from the organ and a sharp edged guitar that rips some tasty leads. But my God, Jess’s voice gives you goosebumps with those floating high notes as she lets loose on the chorus, while the rest of the band go about creating some cinematic graveyard funk. Another scorching track from the bands forthcoming album.
