Influential Dutch post-punks Minimal Compact have announced a new album – ‘Creation is Perfect’, is being released via October 25gh via the bands own Minimal Compact label.
It contains new versions of tracks from the bands back catalogue, which dates back to their formation in 1980. From it the band have released their new version of live favourite Statik Dancing, about which Bassist/keyboardist and vocalist Malka Spigel comments: “We still play “Statik Dancin’” like we always did: driving, minimal, a bit moronic but still catchy. This version has a combination of the energy of the live version plus a fresh sounding production”.
That insight pretty much sums up the bands winding, relentless morotik beats as its angular melodies wind up in your mind. Check it out, here
