Track: Nature TV – Illusion

Nature TV have returned with their first track of 2023, ‘Illusion’, which comes ahead of a new EP from the band due this Autumn via Heist or Hit. An EP that saw the band decamp to the Welsh Bannau Brycheiniog National Park and a 500-year old cottage to write and record.

Singer Guy Bangham says of the single:

“Illusions is about how sometimes nothing is as it seems and there can be a facade over everything. Sometimes it can feel impossible to focus on one thing with so many distractions and illusions that send you off down the rabbit hole. It’s crazy out there and it’s only getting weirder, so remember to work on things you can actually work on and not to worry about all the mad stuff.”

An instant summer classic that is going to be a contender for track of the year. A smooth danceable track that oozes cool with snappy guitars and drowned in dreamy synths. There is an aloofness to the vocals and shimmering production that echo some slick disco of the 80s. It’s all a bit brilliant.
