Track: Neutrals – Hate the Summer of Love

Bay Area jangle punks (I mean its self described but I liked them before I even heard them given that) Neutrals have released a new single, ‘Hate the Summer of Love’ ahead of their debut album Kebab Disco, out on June 6th via Emotional Response Records.

Part Television Personalities, part postcard records, it’s this 100% DIY indie/punk music at it’s catchiest best, as Scottish singer/guitarist Allan McNaughton casually mentions ‘don’t mantion flower power to me, I hate the Summer of love’. As is the rules of brilliant do it yourself indie it’s short, has this simple but lovable guitar break as well as lashings of messy chords, and is practically unforgettable.
