Track: Nicky Elisabeth reveals new single, the gorgeous techno of Celeste

Despite the lack of dancefloor action, other than in our own kitchens, front rooms and gardens, there’s still some incredible music being released with a new track from Kompakt stable Nicky Elisabeth out now.

For the uninitiated, Nicky Elisabeth resides in Amsterdam and is one of the resident DJs at De Marktkantine, and has been part of the Kompakt family since the beginning of 2019. Some people will remember with some fondness the ‘Kompakt Pop-Up Party’ where she stepped firmly into focus with Michael Mayer and Rex The Dog at her side.

Celeste is nine minutes of pure techno joy. Minimal moments bubble along with whispered vocals and melodic fragments, as Elisabeth builds, deconstructs, changes and cajoles melody, beats and samples into something that is just about our favourite piece of dance music this year so far.
