News: Prodigy’s Fat Of The Land’s 25th anniversary celebrated with vinyl reissue, plus brand new Andy C remix

Today, Thursday 30th June, marks the 25 th anniversary of an extraordinary record, the iconic Fat Of The Land from The Prodigy. Taking underground rave music and, without diluting it at all, forcing it on the mainstream, the record is a landmark in dance music.

The bands third album debuted at number one and became something of a global phenomenon, selling over 10 million copies. It also marked the late Keef Flint’s first foray into lead vocals on the incendiary first single Firestarter.

To celebrate, XL Recordings have announced two-anniversary releases including a limited edition 2LP silver 12” vinyl package of the original album with a reimagined version of Alex Jenkin’s artwork, and a brand-new remix of “Firestarter” by drum and bass pioneer Andy C. Available to pre-order from today, both get a full release on 4 November.
