Sheffield based melodic deathcore band Steel Mage have released their new single God Of Heresy along with an accompanying video. It’s somewhat of a change in direction for the band, principally because it’s the first to feature their new vocalist Kyle Dawson.
Typically muscular and direct, it oozes aggression and Dawsons vocal equally cuts through or soars as the mood flips back and forth. It’s all driven by these monsterous riffs and schizophrenic drumming which makes you dread the dark corners of your mind, and raises your heart rate to a ‘more than anxious’ level. Despite that, the boys throw in doses of melody and mood that keep you gripped till the end.
