The Moonlandingz have triumphantly returned after a seven-year hiatus with their latest single, The Sign of a Man.This slightly left-field synth-pop anthem features breathy spoken vocals from frontman Johnny Rocket (Lias Saoudi) and gospel-like backing harmonies, creating a unique and captivating sound. The song juxtaposes pop elements with punk sensibilities, offering singalong choruses amid the almost threatening observations held within, and its persuaded further forwards by the spidery guitar lines as they join the party.

On the track Johnny Rocket (aka Lias Saoudi) says, “Nature left man half-finished, unresolved, alienated, lost to permanent exile, unable or unwilling to surrender even to himself…is it any wonder he grew callous? This is a song about torpor unbound, about the relegation of love into need, about our failure to summon up ‘care’… this is a song about justice.”

After making one of the albums of 2017 in Interplanetary Class Classics, expectations are high for its follow up, No rocket Required out on Transgressive later in the year, Check it out here
