After making waves with their debut EP ‘Ape Allegations’ (read our review here) Backseat Mafia faves have returned to share their first new music of 2024 with new single ‘The Accuser’.
The sincere and downbeat lyrics relate to any breakup with one side feeling inadequate and undervalued. Lead singer Pat adds “We got the inspiration for the song from a friend’s relationship break up and being on hand to support them with their emotions”.
Full of the band’s signature attitude and impeccable guitar playing the lads have delivered another banger. With its central riff ripping through and the sneering vocals, this is a track that demands the volume to be turned up. It’s a joy to see that the EP wasn’t a fluke and that their songwriting remains at its impressive peak.
