Time Cow, of the electro-reggae-dancehall outfit Equiknoxx, releases a new video single, Elephant Man, featuring the Birmingham emcee, and frequent Equiknoxx collaborator, RTKal. The video, which is a tribute to eccentric dancehall star Elephant Man, is a minimalist take on the genre, with percolating, sinister percussion, waves of synthesizer and a jumble of jump cuts and dystopian images. Time Cow has a deep, gravelly voice, which is well-complemented by RTKal’s weed-soaked tone. Some of the shots are spliced together images of the Energy God’s on-stage and off-stage antics. Gavsborg sets the mood using a Korg Volca Beats. Video filmed by Time Cow and RTKal. It was edited by Warren Sinclair & Gavsborg. Check it!
