We were knocked out by Viennese production duo Lucy Dreams recent single ‘Know My Number’, which we premiered back in June, and are equally delighted that the band, who record their vocals through an AI nicknamed Lucy (hence the name), have managed to record an At Home Session version of the song.
At the time, the band described the song us “Know my Number explores the nature of existence. Musically and lyrically the song is the soundtrack for both mankind and machines’ quest for knowledge. We want to be an entity that encourages people to think critically and push reality. Don’t we all want to know where we come from and where we are going? Lucy does.”
Even in this specially recorded version, there’s a faraway, melancholic glint to the melody, and synths bleed into eachother over the changes, while this taught drum beat keeps everything in check.
