South London rapper and self-proclaimed rhythmic philosopher Benjamin A.D is back following the success of ‘Monsters Ball’, with a new single, Come My Way, which drops on November 6th, and is the first of a monthly series of singles designed to showcase his skills.
Producer Junia-T (Little SImz) lays down this downtempo groove, all misty shades and flickering chords, while over the top, Benjamin A.D shows his skills with a warm flow and sharp rhymes about his difficult upbringing and the obstacles that have been placed in front of him, saying “This track is about needing to grow constantly, summarising the whole life process with ‘we’re all children no matter how old’. I feel no matter what age we’re at we have growing to do, learning to do, regardless of our social/societal standing.”
