Essentially built on this rather plaintive guitar line moving between two chords, with a little added melanchoy, My Fault is the new song revealed by Los Angeles indie rockers Travelers. It has the arid indie pop of a Gomez, but instead with this undeniably catchy shuffle, while over the top the vocal has this misty, ethereal quality.
The band itself features Eric Cannata and Francois Comtois from Young the Giant, and they’re joined by Aidin Sadeghi and Bret Leinen, and have had an album almost ready for release for almost two years. Despite that, they’ve only just revealed their hand. Certainly, on this evidence, it makes us hungry for more.
