Massachusetts melodic hardcore outfit A Wilhelm Scream will return to Australia in 2026, bringing their explosive live energy to seven cities nationwide. Renowned for their technical precision and relentless pace, the band’s return comes after a massive year that saw them tour Europe alongside Hot Water Music, Spanish Love Songs, and Joyce Manor as part of the Common Thread Tour.

Known for playing more than 250 shows a year, A Wilhelm Scream have built their reputation on intensity and integrity rather than trends. Their sound — intricate, fast, and deeply melodic — has earned them a loyal global following and a reputation as one of punk’s most consistent live forces. Kicking off in Hobart, the 2026 run will hit major cities across Australia, including a Melbourne date on March 8 featuring Authority Zero and local favourites The Decline.

Formed in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the band has long resisted easy categorisation, blending hardcore aggression with a melodic core and the kind of musicianship that rewards repeat listens. Guitarist and vocalist Trevor Reilly sums up their ethos simply: “You never know when your next album could be your last, so you put everything into it.” It’s a philosophy that defines not just their music, but their enduring connection to fans.
