Nottingham pop-punk gang As December Falls have released their bold and sincere new album “Join The Club” through ADF Records via InGrooves. A record of great importance for the band, the lead-up for “Join The Club” has seen As December Falls win Best Breakthrough at Heavy Music Awards 2023, make their debut performance at Download Festival and announce their biggest headline tour yet – 20 dates across the UK & EU. It is also the band’s first chart-eligible release; the results of the incredible hard work from both the band and their passionate fans will be seen next week.

Speaking on the release of “Join The Club”, Bethany Hunter says “This album is everything to us, it honestly almost feels like our debut album as it’s the first time we’ve managed to achieve the exact vision of what we have for As December Falls. There’s not a single track on the record that I think we could have made better and I’m so proud of this body of work. Even if we don’t chart and don’t hit ‘industry goals’ the fan’s reactions have made all the hard work worth it. If anything else comes out of it, it’s a bonus at this point.”

To celebrate the album release, As December Falls have shared the video for the album’s title track. Filmed at Download Festival 2023, “Join The Club” is a clarion call, delivered in As December Falls signature sound, to every pop-punk fan wanting to be seen. The video wraps with the undeniable encore heard at last month’s festival.

As December Falls will play their first of 7 in store appearances tonight at Hey Joe in Brentwood before visiting individual record stores in Nottingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Southampton, London and Kingston. Tickets for these dates, as well as the dates for their UK & EU headline winter tour with Dream State and Lizzy Farrall, are on sale at www.asdecemberfalls.com

“Join The Club” is a landmark release for As December Falls. Their 2021 release, “Happier”, saw the band step into the UK pop-punk scene from their previous position of independent outsiders but with “Join The Club” they have completely arrived. More confident of their instincts and abilities, this album is their heaviest and bravest yet.

Working around strict schedules decided by their day jobs, As December Falls worked with producers John Mitchell (on Go Away) and Alex Copp (Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes), mix engineers Ian Dowling (on Home – One Direction, Kasabian, McBusted) and Stevie Knight (Yours Truly,  Stand Atlantic) and Grant Berry (All Time Low,, Static Dress) for mastering to bring Join The Club to life. As December Falls fiercely independent streak is out in full force on their new record.

Throughout the album, “Join The Club” reveals itself to be a spectacularly personal record as themes of deep adoration and subsequent heartbreak, anxiety and ultimate perseverance are explored even deeper than As December Falls have done before. As December Falls dispel the idea of the burden of friendship on “Honey” and “I Can’t Sleep” gives insight into Hunter’s own now-conquered challenges.

“Join The Club” also includes previously released singles “Go Away”, “Mayday”, Carousel”, “Home”, “Alive” and “Little By Little” – releases that saw them peak at #6 and #10 on the iTunes alternative chart and have earned them praise and support from leading alternative tastemakers from the worlds of print, online, radio and TV.

As December Falls videos have enjoyed regular rotation from MTV, Kerrang TV and continued support from Kerrang Radio and BBC Radio 1 DJs Jack Saunders, Alyx Holmcombe and Nels Hylton (who named Carousel as his Future Flavour upon release). This support has been echoed by the likes of Kerrang!, Rock Sound, Upset, Distorted Sound, When The Horn Blows, Noizze, Rock Sins, Punktastic, Already Heard and many more.
