Bachman-Turner Overdrive are finally heading to Australia. More than five decades into their career, the Canadian rock veterans will make their first-ever Australian tour in February 2027 as part of the ‘No Speed Limit Tour’.
Led by Randy Bachman, BTO will play Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, with the Sydney date landing at the Enmore Theatre on February 5. Expect a catalogue stacked with classic-rock staples including ‘You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet’, ‘Takin’ Care of Business’, ‘Let It Ride’ and ‘Roll on Down the Highway’.
Bachman revived BTO in 2023 before taking the band across Canada and the US. The current incarnation is something of a family affair, featuring his son Tal Bachman on guitar and daughter-in-law KoKo Bachman on drums, alongside Lance Lapointe on bass and Brent Knudsen on guitar.
Bachman’s history stretches back even further, having first found major success with The Guess Who before forming BTO in the early 1970s. Between the two bands, his songwriting helped produce a formidable run of rock hits, while his career has clocked up more than 40 million record sales.
After decades of waiting, Australian fans finally get BTO on home turf. Artist presale begins September 22, followed by promoter and venue presales on September 23, with general tickets on sale September 25.
