After nearly a decade away from the road, BIGBANG are officially returning to Australia. The K-pop trailblazers will bring their BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR <XX : COSMOS> to Sydney’s Accor Stadium on Saturday 31 October 2026, with the performance serving as the tour’s only Australian date.
The Sydney concert forms part of a 33-show global trek that reunites G-DRAGON, TAEYANG and DAESUNG for their first world tour since 2017, while celebrating the group’s 20th anniversary. Stretching across Asia, North America, Europe and Australia, the tour marks a significant new chapter for a group whose influence has long extended beyond K-pop into fashion, entertainment and global pop culture.
The announcement follows BIGBANG’s widely discussed return at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where the trio delivered one of the festival’s defining performances. Their appearance was met with widespread acclaim, reinforcing the enduring appeal of a group that helped reshape the global perception of Korean popular music.
It also continues the momentum generated by ‘Still Life’, the group’s first release in four years. Released in 2022, the reflective single demonstrated that BIGBANG’s creative voice remained as compelling as ever, earning recognition as one of the year’s standout K-pop releases while reminding audiences why the group continues to occupy such a unique position within the genre.
Since debuting in 2006, BIGBANG have produced a catalogue that helped define modern K-pop, from ‘Lie’ and ‘Last Farewell’ through to ‘Haru Haru’, ‘FANTASTIC BABY’ and ‘BANG BANG BANG’. Their stadium-scale tours and crossover success laid much of the groundwork for the international expansion that Korean pop music enjoys today, influencing countless artists who followed.
For Australian fans, the Sydney performance represents a rare opportunity to witness one of K-pop’s foundational acts back on stage. With only a single Australian show announced, demand is expected to be intense as BIGBANG celebrate two decades of music with the tour that many thought might never happen.
