Starting last year, the Fifty Lab concept showcases up and coming exclusively Belgian talent at three key venues across Brussels. The Ancienne Belgique, Archiduc and Beursschouburg will host three days of concerts (nine in total), on the 18th, 19th and 20th of November.
The full line-up has yet to be confirmed though some names have been announced (Annabel Lee, Dolly Bing Bing, Frenetik), and in these uncertain times it’s 50/50 for Fifty Lab if the event will go head as planned. Belgium is currently reeling under the Covid crisis with a ten o’ clock curfew currently imposed in some regions.
Nevertheless the Belgian spirit continues unbowed, and if the presence of spontaneous fire-eaters and jugglers on street corners (or is that just my neighbourhood?) is anything to go by, it promises to be another landmark event.
