News: BTS Confirm Melbourne And Sydney Shows As ARIRANG Tour Expands

BTS will return to Australia in February 2027 for four stadium shows, beginning with back-to-back nights at Marvel Stadium before heading north for two performances at Accor Stadium. The newly announced dates arrive as part of an 85-show global run already being framed as the largest K-pop tour ever mounted.

Since debuting in 2013, BTS, comprised of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, have grown from an ambitious self-producing idol group into one of the defining pop acts of the 21st century. Their ascent has consistently rewritten expectations around what Korean artists could achieve internationally, from six Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers since 2020 to sold-out stadium runs across multiple continents. Along the way, they’ve also become deeply associated with activism and fan mobilisation through projects like the LOVE MYSELF campaign and their UN “Speak Yourself” speech, helping solidify the bond between the group and their enormous global fanbase, ARMY.

That relationship has only intensified around ARIRANG, BTS’ fifth studio album released earlier this year. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 while lead single ‘SWIM’ also opened at the top of the charts, extending a run of dominance that already includes GRAMMY nominations, Billboard Music Awards, MTV VMAs and the title of TIME’s Entertainer of the Year in 2020.

The scale of the current tour borders on staggering. Across North America, Europe and the UK alone, BTS have already sold close to 2.4 million tickets, with additional stadium dates repeatedly added and immediately snapped up during presales. The tour has already produced several historic firsts, including headline K-pop stadium concerts in cities and venues that had never previously hosted them.

Still, what continues to separate BTS from many stadium acts operating at this level is how emotionally direct the experience remains. The new immersive 360-degree stage production places fans around the performance rather than simply in front of it, designed less like a traditional arena concert and more like a shared event unfolding in real time between the group and ARMY.

The ARIRANG tour also marks BTS’ first headline world tour together since PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE, the run that transformed sold-out venues in Seoul, Los Angeles and Las Vegas into temporary oceans of synchronised lightsticks and fan chants. Judging by the scenes already unfolding across the current tour, that collective energy hasn’t faded in the slightest.

For Australian fans, the announcement lands after years of speculation around whether BTS would return here at all. Instead, they’re returning bigger than ever.

TICKETS: Tickets for the Australia dates will be available starting Tuesday, June 2 via ARMY MEMBERSHIP PRESALE.

Remaining tickets will be available via general onsale beginning Thursday, June 4 at 10am AEST in Melbourne and 1pm AEST in Sydney, at btsworldtourofficial.com.
