Berlin duo DJ HEARTSTRING are set to bring their euphoric blend of trance, techno and emotional release back to Australia, announcing a headline show at Melbourne’s Wool Store on September 25, presented by Untitled Group and supported by Creative Victoria.
Landing on the AFL Grand Final public holiday, the performance marks the first event in The Wool Store’s 2026 series and signals the beginning of what promises to be another busy spring for Melbourne’s electronic community. It also arrives amid a period of rapid growth for the venue, with Untitled Group recently unveiling a dedicated social media channel for The Wool Store as it enters a new chapter.
For DJ HEARTSTRING, the Australian return follows a breakthrough few years that have transformed the Berlin-based pair into one of dance music’s most exciting emerging acts. Comprised of Leo and Jonas, the duo have cultivated their distinctive Trance Dance Music sound by balancing underground energy with pop melodies and combining soaring high-BPM rhythms with a strong emotional core.
Since forming in 2021, DJ HEARTSTRING have become fixtures on international festival line-ups, appearing at Movement Detroit, Awakenings, Lost Village and ARC Music Festival, while their Boiler Room Melbourne set further accelerated their rise. Their reputation has been built on creating moments of collective catharsis, turning dancefloors into spaces where euphoria and melancholy coexist.
The announcement follows the release of ‘A Thousand Lies’, their recent collaboration with DMA’S, which has emerged as a standout in the duo’s sets. Alongside collaborations with southstar, KETTAMA and KLP, the track underlines their ability to bridge rave culture with melodic songwriting, creating music that resonates far beyond the club.
With Melbourne’s AFL Grand Final weekend set to provide the backdrop, DJ HEARTSTRING’s return promises to be one of the first major highlights of the city’s spring electronic calendar.
