Australia will get a double dose of punk energy next May when UK folk-punk stalwart Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls team up with Texan pop-punk veterans Bowling for Soup for the Bowling My Bones co-headline tour. The run kicks off on Friday 1 May on the Sunshine Coast before travelling through Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Frankston and Adelaide, and wrapping up on Monday 11 May in Fremantle.

For Bowling for Soup, the tour extends a busy chapter. Now three decades into their career, the band continue to pair humour with hook-driven songwriting, maintaining a presence across albums, soundtracks and stages worldwide. They recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of A Hangover You Don’t Deserve with their biggest UK tour to date and are preparing for a headline show at Wembley Arena alongside the release of their upcoming live acoustic record Stoked On Trent. Their return to Australia follows well-received sets at the 2024 Good Things Festival and packed headline sideshows.

Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls bring a different but equally committed live pedigree. Since the mid-2000s, Turner has moved from post-hardcore beginnings to a prolific solo career marked by ten studio albums, more than 3,000 live shows and a #1 UK chart position with 2022’s FTHC. His latest album Undefeated (2024) continues to highlight his blend of punk, folk and rock, as well as his reputation for earnest, high-intensity performances. Turner’s advocacy for grassroots music venues and his annual festival Lost Evenings have further cemented his role as a significant figure in contemporary independent music.

Bringing both acts together for a shared headline run offers Australian audiences a rare pairing: two bands with long touring histories, established catalogues and a strong connection to their communities. The Bowling My Bones tour promises a series of focused, high-energy shows from artists who continue to evolve while retaining a loyal following.
