News: Futurecop! Returns With New Album Wind, Town & Flowers

Manchester-born producer Futurecop! releases the new album Wind, Town & Flowers. An expansive and vibrant collection of cinematic synthscapes and neon-soaked nostalgia, the album is the solo artists first full-length studio release since 2023.

Coupling dazzling synth-pop toplines with a dancefloor-ready backbone, Wind, Town & Flowers captures soundscapes comparable the likes of Daft Punk and Royksopp. Across thirteen tracks, Futurecop! weaves together dream-pop atmospheres, hyperpop flourishes, and shimmering indie sensibilities, creating a sound both deeply nostalgic and strikingly modern.

Taking cues from Japanese TV dramas and a kaleidoscope of retro inspirations, the album captures a kind of cinematic escapism. “Wind, Town & Flowers is my most expansive and refined work yet, both in production and in storytelling through music,” Futurecop! explains. “I wanted to capture that warm, nostalgic feeling with modern sounds, blending synth-driven melodies with cutting-edge production, like the soundtrack to a movie that doesn’t exist.”

He continues: “It tells a story of growing up, coming of age, and returning older to where you grew up. Musically, it fuses electronic, synthwave, R&B, dance, pop, rock, and even liquid drum & bass, creating a diverse but cohesive journey. Each track is meant to feel ethereal and uplifting, inviting listeners to reconnect with their memories and find their own story within the music.”

Futurecop!, the creative vision of producer Manzur Iqbal, has long been celebrated for turning his love of retro pop culture into a synth-swept dreamscape. His sound, evocative of 80s teen movies, arcade nights, and starry-eyed nostalgia, has built a loyal global following. From the cult-favorite The Unicorn & the Lost City of Alvograth to more recent outings like From Oceans Within and Between the Moon and Stars, Futurecop! has showcased a prolific out and some beautiful musicality.

With Wind, Town & Flowers, Futurecop! reaffirms that universe—bigger, brighter, and more ambitious than ever.
