South African singer-songwriter Jeremy Loops will return to Australia and New Zealand this July for a limited run of headline shows, bringing his distinctive fusion of folk, alt-pop and loop-driven musicianship back to audiences on both sides of the Tasman.
The announcement follows a busy 2025 for the Cape Town artist, highlighted by a widely praised appearance on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury. Now, Loops is set to revisit Australia and New Zealand with six intimate performances showcasing material that spans his career, from early favourites to songs from his latest album, Feathers and Stone.
Born and raised in the surf town of Kommetjie outside Cape Town, Jeremy Thomas Hewitt first emerged as one of South Africa’s most recognisable musical exports thanks to a style that combines acoustic songwriting with inventive live looping techniques. Over the years, tracks such as Down South and Waves have helped him cultivate an international following, while his energetic stage presence has become a defining feature of his concerts.
His performances occupy a space between intimate storytelling and communal celebration, with Loops’ one-man-band approach providing the foundation for expansive arrangements that draw equally from folk traditions and contemporary pop.
Joining him on the tour will be special guests Salt Tree in Perth and Tom River on all remaining dates, adding further depth to a run of shows that promises to reconnect fans with one of South Africa’s most distinctive contemporary artists.
