Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil have confirmed their long-awaited return to Australia, with the Sleepless Empire Australian Tour set for February 2026.

The tour kicks off on Thursday 12 February in Brisbane before moving through Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, and finishing in Perth on Thursday 19 February.

It will be Lacuna Coil’s first headline run in Australia in ten years, following their last visit for Good Things Festival in 2022, where they were widely noted as one of the standout sets of the day. They also joined Gojira on their Australian headline shows during that same trip.

The tour arrives off the back of the band’s latest album Sleepless Empire, released earlier this year. The record explores more experimental terrain while retaining Lacuna Coil’s gothic roots, featuring tracks like Never Dawn, I Wish You Were Dead and Hosting the Shadow, which features Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe. Kerrang! praised the release, saying: “These are Lacuna songs through and through… and its lingering notes of darkness just make you want to play the whole thing again.”

With over two million albums sold worldwide and a reputation for commanding live performances, Lacuna Coil’s upcoming shows will give Australian fans the first opportunity in a decade to see the band headline their own stages.
