Experimental noise-rock collective BLOKE unveil electrifying preview with their single ‘Up Tight, released ahead of the upcoming Living Without Expectations EP. Spearheaded by the enigmatic Jakob Buraczewski, the Berlin/London-based group continues to redefine the edges of psychedelic rock and Krautrock-inspired soundscapes, delivering yet another profound sonic and thematic statement.

Lyrically dismantling the faults of capitalism, ‘Up Tight’ delves into the crushing weight of societal expectations and the relentless pursuit of personal ambition over fuzzy guitars, punching drums, bass and urgent vocals, creating a driving, volatile sense of energy. Psychedelic through its reverb heavy production, the track builds throughout before reaching a frenetic and intense close.

“These emotions respond with such immediacy,” says Buraczewski, “mirroring the upbeat song structure. The escalating guitar distortion and tempo resonate deeply, creating a truly empathetic musical experience.”

BLOKE’s sound reflects Buraczewski’s cross-cultural journey. Rooted in Germany but refined in London’s underground music scene, the artist’s influences range from the rawness of garage punk to the expansive explorations of Krautrock and psychedelia.

The upcoming EP, Living Without Expectations, is slated for release on February 14th through Tonzonen Records/Cargo Records. Listen to the new single below:
