Never short of creativity or productivity, Australia’s King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have just announced the release of a phenomenal three albums for October on their own KGLW label – surely a reviewer’s greatest nightmare but a cornucopia of joy for fans.

The first release will be ‘Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms And Lava’, out on 7 October, followed by ‘Laminated Denim’, out on 12 October and finally ‘Changes’, their fifth album of the year, out on 28 October. You can pre-order the albums here.

Additionally, the band has shared an hilarious video for one of the songs off the first of this album triumvirate, ‘Ice V’, directed, produced and shot by Danny Cohen . The track is a swirling, dense and restless piece with the most spaced out opaque lyrics that reeks of chemical intervention:

Queen of ice
Suffice to say
Engulfing all in crystal dismay
Freezing whims as the sun dims
The pressure tearing limb from limb
Earth born cities stripped away as the ice queen hypnotically sways
Queen of ice
Suffice to say
Engulfing all in crystal dismay

Ice V. Ice V. Ice V…

The clip is set in a bucolic seaside resort with the most – to use an Australian colloquialism – daggiest character imaginable:

You can get the track through the link below:
