Due to high demand for the Rewind – All Killer, No Filler Tour, one of Australia’s most enduring and beloved musical acts, Hoodoo Gurus, have decided to “cross the pond”, confirming a new Hobart show added to the already highly anticipated 45th anniversary tour in November and December 2026. The now 8-date expanded headline tour will see the epic Gurus play Odeon Theatre, Hobart on Wednesday 16 December.
Joining the Gurus for every show are Sydney’s influential indie pop-punk band Ratcat, currently celebrating 40 years together, and Perth garage rock stalwarts The Stems.
The Hobart date will also mark Ratcat’s first appearance in the city in 35 years, since their two sold-out Hobart City Hall concerts in June 1991! The Stems last played Hobart in 2017 – their one and only performance in Tasmania!
Hoodoo Gurus occupy a singular place in Australian – and international – rock’n’roll history. Their debut album Stoneage Romeos topped the US College/Alternative chart, with follow-up releases including Mars Needs Guitars!, Blow Your Cool and Magnum Cum Louder also reaching the Billboard 200 while producing enduring hits such as “What’s My Scene”, “Like Wow – Wipeout!” and “Come Anytime”.
Frontier Members can access their presale for the new Hobart show from Thursday, 3rd September (11.00am local time) before tickets go on sale to the general public form Monday, 7th September (11.00am local time).
