The magnificent Drop City burned brightly in the nineties and included in its line up the ever proficient Matthew Tow, who later went on to join The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Backseat Downunder favourites The Lovetones.

Their seminal album ‘Magic Transistor Radio’ turns thirty this year and will now be available on limited edition double vinyl for the first time. Originally released by Red Eye Records and recorded by The Boo Radleys, Spiritualized and Stereolab producer, Andy Wilkinson in London, this is a magnificent release that captures the zeitgeist with its sixties psychedelic hues and shoegaze tones.

The new issue will be available for a limited time in the only format that matters, and can be obtained at their forthcoming live shows bundled with the tickets and in stores from 5 September.

To celebrate the anniversary of the release, Drop City will perform 2 very special shows at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne (with special guests The Earthmen + Cordrazine (solo)) on the 6th September (tickets here) and Factory Theatre (with special guests The Earthmen + Belles With Ring + Cordrazine (solo)), (tickets here) in Sydney on the 13th September.

This is an event not to be missed.
