Fans of cowpunk, garage rock and hard-edged rock’n’roll will have plenty to look forward to next February, with The Supersuckers, Nashville Pussy and Nine Pound Hammer joining forces for a seven-date Australian tour.

The 2027 run expands on the successful SuperPussy tour that brought The Supersuckers and Nashville Pussy to Australia previously, while also marking the long-awaited Australian debut of Kentucky pioneers Nine Pound Hammer. The tour will visit Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney, Adelaide, Geelong, Melbourne and Frankston.

Sharing headline duties across the run, Nashville Pussy will top the bill in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Melbourne, while The Supersuckers will headline the Sydney, Adelaide, Geelong and Frankston shows.

Formed in 1988, The Supersuckers have spent almost four decades blending punk rock, country and hard rock into a style that helped define the modern cowpunk movement. Known in Australia for tracks such as Born With A Tail, the band recently returned with their twelfth studio album, Liquor, Women, Drugs & Killing, continuing a career built on relentless touring and an uncompromising approach to rock’n’roll.

Joining them are Nashville Pussy, whose mix of Southern rock, punk and heavy riffs has earned them a devoted international following since the late 1990s. Fronted by Blaine Cartwright and guitarist Ruyter Suys, the band has become renowned for its energetic live performances, with legendary Motörhead frontman Lemmy once describing them as one of the finest bands to open for his own. They arrive in Australia touring behind their latest release, 10 Inches Of Pussy.

Completing the lineup are Nine Pound Hammer, who will make their first-ever Australian visit. Formed in Kentucky in the 1980s, the band helped lay the foundations for cowpunk by combining hardcore punk with rural Americana and working-class storytelling. Across a catalogue spanning twelve albums, including Smokin’ Taters, Hayseed Timebomb and When The Shit Goes Down, Nine Pound Hammer have maintained their reputation as one of the genre’s defining acts.

With three influential American bands sharing the stage each night, the February tour offers Australian audiences the chance to experience three distinct chapters of cowpunk and rock’n’roll history in one package.
