Secret Sounds have announced that electronic art-pop band Surfing will join US hypnotic pop group TV Girl to open stages across Melbourne and Sydney on their highly anticipated Australian tour next month.

Formed in the early 2010s, Surfing is an Australian band that emerged from the depths of the underground scene with a sound that’s equal parts electronic and dream pop. Leroy Honeycomb and Penny Van Hazelberg, the masterminds behind Surfing, first captured widespread attention with their debut album Deep Fantasy. The album is a testament to their ability to create nostalgic, atmospheric soundscapes that transport listeners to a dreamy, retro-futuristic realm.

TV Girl are an indie pop band known for their catchy melodies and sample-driven music, blending modern lo-fi aesthetics with influences from classic pop and soul. The band comprises Brad Petering on vocals and guitar, Jason Wyman on keyboards, and Wyatt Harmon on bass. Together, they create a unique sound characterised by its use of electronic beats and clever samples, which overlay nostalgic, lyrical storytelling often exploring themes of love and longing.
