PREMIERE: Los Angeles duo Trick Gum share the short and snappy ‘Tim Dillon’

The individual members of Los Angeles collaboration Trick Gum certainly like to keep busy; Justin Raisen has worked with the likes of Lizzo, Yves Tumor and Yeah Yeah Yeahs as producer, while his cousin Jordan Benik is part of fellow Los Angelenos Sweaters.

This work ethic extends to their new project; they’ve already released three singles this year, with the bigger picture slowly unveiling itself as their forthcoming debut album, due in the autumn. They’ve plenty more to share with us ahead of time, and their new single seems as good a place to hop on as any.

‘Tim Dillon’ doesn’t mess about; a short and snappy garage rocker with knowing lo-fi leanings and Benik’s endearing, snotty vocals sweeping the track along. Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, in and out in exactly two minutes. It’s a gem, and it’s out tomorrow, but we’re premiering it below. Get acquainted and keep an eye out for Rack Up Your Debt later in the year.
