Andrew Bird had released many surprises these last few weeks to celebrate and spread the word for his newest album Are You Serious?; including not only the songs “Capsized”, “Roma Fade” but also the explosive duet with Fiona Apple on “Left Handed Kisses”. For the album release, another surprise: a video for the aforementioned “Capsized”.
The video has a dream-like atmosphere and it features Andrew Bird falling from the bed to a stage where he performs to no audience and keeps running away with a target drawn at the back of his pajamas, and his coat. We can see that he’s struggling with the end of a relationship by the end of the video, when he’s almost drowning in a swimming pool. Well, take your best dream interpretation with you because “Capsized” is definitely the inside of a dream.
