ANTI-‘S lovely baroque-pop song sculptor Andy Shauf has just released the video for “Clove Cigarette”, one of the standout tracks from January’s The Neon Skyline.

Watch with us; it’s 184 seconds of Proustian recall set across gorgeous acoustic melodies, with a brilliant, digitally treated video courtesy Colin Medley and Jared Raab, with added animated spice from Luca Tarantini.

Aww, he’s actually adorable – which, if you’ve seen him at one of his rare appearances this side of the Pond, you’ll be able to testify to.

Andy says: “The video was made using a variety of cutting edge technologies: LiDAR, a 3D scanning technique using laser light that’s often used for 3D maps and self-driving cars, photogrammetry, and a video game engine. We hope you like it.”

He’s also announced another charity benefit live stream show for Sunday, October 18th, at 10pm British Summer Time; tickets for which are now on sale at Noonchorus.

The sum of $5 from each ticket sale will go to the Encampment Support Network, a group of artist who are addressing Toronto’s housing crisis by bringing humanitarian aid to those living in encampments around the city.

Andy says: “Monies will be used to purchase bottled water, sleeping bags, grocery gift cards, tents and other essential items for those in need.

“There are a lot of people in our city who need our help and support right now, and winter is approaching quickly.

“If you live in Toronto and want to learn more about how you can help support ESN’s efforts, visit the charity’s Instagram page or watch this video from CBC.”

Andy Shauf’s The Neon Skyline is available now from ANTI- on digital download, CD and vinyl. You can buy a copy over at his Bandcamp page (and his excellent back catalogue as well.)
